"I started working with Radius just after I started with Slug and Lettuce as an area manager for Manchester. Since the very beginning I have found them to be extremely professional, great to work with and all General Managers of my sites are also very happy with the stewards they have on their doors.
Their training is thorough and we were all invited to sit in on this before any stewards were allocated to any of our sites. The stewards were specifically chosen depending on area and demographic. The stewards work well in the main with the GM's and if there have been any issues they have been resolved quickly, helpfully and professionally.
I receive a weekly report of any issues in my bars and have regular and open contact with Mark who has also assisted in licensing matters. Overall I am very happy working with Radius and believe they are in a different league to other door companies."

"Radius Security were recommended to me by a colleague who had recently reviewed his security teams in the North West and decided a change was needed and he had introduced Radius successfully into his region. I had concerns over a Security team in place at one of my venues as their actions were causing unwanted attention from the Licensing Authority and Police. There were concerns regarding changing a team in this area but after meeting the management of Radius and seeing for myself the professional set up of the business I took little convincing to change the door. We were vastly outnumbered despite requesting further patrols and the lads did a great job at stopping people gathering around us and kept us safe whilst we dealt with the incident, i know Darren ushered a female away who in all her arm waving managed to smack me in the mouth ( accidentally i believe) but i think his words were "just leave the lady to get on with her job and she'll sort it".
Its always comforting as a police officer to know that not everyone out there wants to fight us and that many door staff will step in and assist us as much as the law allows them and Radius has some great examples of this."

Whilst it is widely known that violent crime in licensed premises has significantly reduced in the city centre over the last twelve months, incidents at Revolution Bar have been practically non existent.

John was working as a Taxi Marshal when he identified a drunk & vulnerable female in the City Centre. He used his initiative to ensure that she got home safely, not only putting her into a Taxi but also paying the fare.
During the same shift, the staff employed at the rank assisted Police officers when a fight broke out. They intervened by detaining three males until the Police Officers arrived and then dispersed the crowd.
These actions could have possibly prevented a serious incident occurring and I am grateful for these kind actions. It is good to hear that in our City Centre we can all work together in reducing crime and to make Preston a safer place"

I have worked in and around nightclubs and bars for over 15 years now and I was introduced to Radius when I took over as the DPS of my current venue in January 2009.

Mark, just a few lines to ask that you pass on my thanks for the efforts that the Door Supervisor team have made at the "Off The Wall" venue in St John Street.
Prior to Radius taking responsibility for the security at the premises there were serious concerns as to the running of the venue. This was due to a large extent to the type of persons visiting the premises. As you will be aware the situation was brought to a head on Christmas Eve 2010 when a large scale disturbance occurred and Police closed the venue.
Since that time the premises was subject of a Police action plan as a last chance, and part of that plan was a change of Door company. Radius took over in January 2011 and since this time have been responsible in no small part for a turn round in the venue. We have seen a drop in the number of violent offences and calls about antisocial behaviour. The type of person now visiting the venue has changed, with most of the old "troublesome" element not now visiting or not being allowed entry into the premises.
This has required a professional approach by the door supervisors to achieve this in a relatively painless way. Credit must go to the Head Door supervisor, Ben Smallwood who has overseen this process. I am aware that he has personally been on the receiving end of threats whilst overseeing the changes but has always handled these situations in a calm and professional manner.
