Crime stoppers has teamed up with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to enable anyone to report information about any company deploying unlicensed security staff, as defined in the Private Security Industry Act 2001.
The creation of the SIA was central to the implementation of the Act, which is intended to regulate the private security industry and improve skills, service quality, and reputation and career opportunities. The partnership will enable the SIA to receive additional intelligence surrounding incidents of unlicensed activity by encouraging members of the public and those working within the private security industry to call Crime stoppers with information.
The SIA are currently sponsoring Crime stoppers' website.
For more information, visit the SIA's website.
