30/07/2012 - Security Excellence Awards 2012 - Radius Security have made the list of finalists!

In October Radius Security will be joining over 1,000 of security professionals for a black tie event - hosted at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London. The Security Excellence Awards, now in its 14th year, recognises the magnificent achievements of professionals from the security management, installation, consultancy and manufacturing sub-sectors.

At the event Radius will be judged by a panel of representatives from all areas of security, from end users and academics, to members of the policing sector. It's a great opportunity to network, but it's not all work, work work! The evening will offer great food and entertainment until late, with a charity casino which will raise money for worthy causes. In the past, proceeds from the event have raised vital funds for charities including the Victim Support organisation, The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK and Child Victims of Crime.

Radius are finalists in the category: Customer Care Initiative of the Year, for the Preston City Centre Taxi Marshalling Initiative which we have been running for the past x years.

We are delighted to have reached the list of finalists, the standard has been incredibly high this year, in fact Brian Sims, chairman of the Judging Panel and project manager for the event commented:

"We're absolutely delighted at the standard and breadth of submissions. At a time when many in the profession are necessarily focused on Olympic security, the future of law enforcement and forthcoming changes to private sector regulation, as well as new European standards, we're grateful that so many companies and individuals have taken time out of their hectic schedules and put so much effort into their submissions."

Due to feedback from both the general public and local police officers, we at Radius are confident that we are providing a great service, but it's a fantastic feeling to have our dedication, professionalism and hard work recognised by the industry.'

Fingers crossed for 17th October 2012 - we'll keep you posted!

25/05/2012 - Chris Price joins the Radius Security Team

We at Radius Security see our Risk & Compliance team as a real Unique Selling Point. The experiences of that team are invaluable and have proved time and time again that Radius are not only about securing your front door by providing personnel but are equally responsible for securing licensed premises 'licenses to trade'!

The business has managed to procure many venues that have been either under licensing authority review or certainly have the threat of review hanging over them and so M.D. 'Mark Amphlett' has been keen to invest heavily in this dynamic and forward thinking department...

With this Radius looks forward to a 'new addition' Chris Price joining the team! Chris has a wealth of experience in the licensed trade risk and compliance sector, holding positions with both Mitchells and Butler, as their Safety Security and Licensing Officer and then he continued his service with the 'buy out' from M&B to the newly formed Stonegate Pub Company.

Chris' role for Radius will incorporate all levels of risk and compliance including – venue risk assessments, production of venue specific Hospitality, Licensing, Safety & Security documentation, training, incident report management including onward reporting, and the management of all associated threats inclusive of the production of some quite unique action plans!

The role is extensive but we are confident Chris is the right man for the position and look forward to his start early June 2012.

10/02/2012 - Radius Security Achieve ACS

How does a security company prove their quality, legitimacy and professionalism?

The answer is simple... ACS!!!

The SIA launched the Approved Contactor Scheme some time ago the intention being to identify the quality security providers within the industry.

Radius Security Ltd has now been audited by the SIA and have easily surpassed the criteria set and so are now accredited!!!

Our Quality Assurance & Training Director 'Tony Luby' comments...

"The investment into becoming ACS approved has been well worth it. Not only does the accreditation confirm our professionalism it also adds additional credibility to our already reputable business. The industry is fraught with sub standard operators and so ACS sets Radius aside and identifies our legitimacy".

With the launch of the Business Registration Scheme looming Radius are now in a great position moving forwards!
